Hadaya Vatthu Foundation would like to convey the latest news on 6 months Intensive Retreat conducted by Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw from 1st January – June 30th in Pa Auk Tawya Meditation Center, Mawlamyine, Myanmar.
Originally the idea for this Intensive Retreat was planned for only 300 persons who must already finished with Samatha and Vipassana courses. Pa Auk Sayadaw wanted to give deeper, more intensive guidance so his students will be better prepared to teach around the world. However, since Pa Auk Sayadaw had not returned to Myanmar in 3 years, the number of participants jumped significantly to 1,200 where the number of Bhikkus have reached 500, numerous Sayalays, and 250 participants from around the world. Currently 25 Indonesians are attending the retreat, 8 Bhikkus, 4 Sayalays, 3 Samaneras, and 10 yogis.
